In this crazy time, the youth detention and committed facilities in the Springs have one more significant thing to add to the pile. Zeb Pike and Spring Creek will be changing responsibilities and thus transferring youth between the two facilities next week. This is a very stressful situation for both the youth and the staff. The youth, when put in stressful situations, do not react well. The staff, in turn, have added stress and things become very difficult for all involved.
We are asking that you join us in prayer especially between now and the end of the month for the staff and youth involved in this event. We are hosting prayer walks through out the upcoming months at the facilities. We will be at Zeb Pike tonight at 6:30 and Spring Creek Thursday the 18th at 6:30pm. I encourage you to join us in prayer during these specific times and let us know if you can join us on these walks. We have not been able to enter any of the facilities and minister to the youth because of the virus. And, we do not know when we will be able to re-enter. It could be this fall making it critical to keep a prayer covering over all the Department of Youth Services this summer. Thank you so much for your support. May our prayers shine the light of the Lord into the darkness.
