Greetings, I want to share a glimpse of what God has been doing through Southern Colorado Youth for Christ in the past month. In March, the Jubilee Arts Collective Dance Team visited Southern Peaks Treatment Center and performed for about 40 youth. It was an incredible Spirit-filled time, and God met us in a powerful way. Below are a couple of testimonies from the dance team that beautifully capture what took place. JESSE'S TESTIMONY Our trip to Southern Peaks was truly a “where the rubber meets the road” experience for me. When I say that God can redeem anything, do I really mean it? When I say that God can transform anyone, do I really mean anyone? From a worldly perspective, the children at Southern Peaks carry stories that feel close to irredeemable, hearts deeply ravaged by trauma and pain. But we prayed, we danced, we cried, and we witnessed God enter the room. During the night, one of our dancers shared through tears about how God redeemed her story. As she spoke, five girls stood up and surrounded her in a group hug. They whispered to her that it was okay, and she whispered back to them that they are loved and precious to God. Later, we learned that one of those girls had given her life to Christ the night before we arrived. Watching us worship and hearing our stories strengthened her confidence in her decision to follow Jesus. There was so much pain visible in the eyes of these young ones, and yet we had the privilege of witnessing God call them to Himself and bring healing that only He can provide. Southern Peaks was both hard and beautiful, and I praise God who truly can redeem and transform anyone. DANA'S TESTIMONY “He redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.” Psalm 103:4 At this recent outreach, I felt this verse come alive for me. The Father continues to redeem my life, and as I looked into the beautiful faces before me at the treatment center, I was overwhelmed with love and compassion. It poured out as the kids and I held one another, weeping together. WHAT IS COMING UP Later this month, a group from Charis Bible College in Woodland Park will be ministering at Southern Peaks. They will bring a music team and a production team that will perform skits. I am excited to see how the Lord uses them—not only at Southern Peaks, but across all our facilities. We are also hosting a Pickleball Tournament on April 19th. If you are interested in participating, you can find more information here. Please tell anyone you know who likes to play! CAMPUS LIFE We continue to seek ways to raise additional funding so we can launch CAMPUS LIFE in middle schools. Our $20-per-month campaign has started slowly, but I am learning to wait on the Lord and trust that His will is being accomplished. I continue to pray and discern where He would have us begin this next step of the ministry. A FINAL REFLECTION
I want to leave you with a few questions to reflect on:
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Have a truly blessed day. Andy
