Galatians 6:9 Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. A Message from Andy, the Executive Director: As the guy God has tasked to shepherd Southern Colorado Youth For Christ, one of my greatest responsibilities - and privileges - is connecting Christian men and women with the 150 youth we serve. Over 20 years ago, I started going into youth facilities with a Christian worship team. At times, we were able to minister to over 100 young people at a time. It was a blessing to watch God move in those surroundings. He loves these often broken, lost, scared, troubled, and hurt kids. The Lord placed it on my heart to serve Him by helping them. I have been blessed over the years to have many in the Body of Christ come alongside this ministry to help as well. Each week, our wonderful, dedicated volunteers enter four different facilities to share the hope of Jesus and build relationships. I continually ask the Lord to raise up more of His people to use their gifts and invest in these young lives. The harvest is great, but the workers are few. Partnering with Other Ministries to Make an Impact: Denton Bible Church Choir Every year 125 high school students travel from Texas to minister in youth facilities across Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Canon City. They present songs, skits, testimonies, and choreography, that glorifies God and the kids look forward to their visit. Local Worship Teams We are blessed by several local Christian worship groups who regularly go into the facilities to share music and encouragement. Jubilee Arts Collective This remarkable dance ministry has partnered with us for a number of years, and their performances set to Christian music communicate God's love in ways many of the kids have never experienced. Recently, several young people asked Jesus into their hearts following one of their performances at the Zebulon Pike Facility. I met with a young girl who raised her hand, and gave her a Bible. She was excited to get to know our Lord. Jubilee Arts will be performing at Southern Peaks this month. New Partners We've recently connected with a team from Charis Bible College who are eager to bring new programs into the facilities. Additionally, First Tee is preparing a golf mentoring outreach for the kids. More Opportunities The needs are great, and opportunities to grow are many. We continue exploring ministry in local middle schools. The success of which will depend on the obedience and generosity of God's people in answer to His call. We continue to have a need for monthly donors and are asking that you prayerfully consider how you can help. Thank you! For standing with us in prayer and through encouragement, financial support, and volunteering. This ministry is a big little ministry, and God is doing beautiful things in the hearts and lives of His kids every single week!
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:40 Blessings, Andy
