 It is hard to believe that it has been two years since I started full time at Youth for Christ. It has truly been amazing and fulfilling. I have been able to work with a lot of outside agencies and now our volunteers are able to work one on one with kids not only inside a facility, but can follow then on the outside and work with them in their homes, group homes or a treatment facility. This is critical because it is outside in community that these kids need help. With around some 1000 kids in the system in southern Colorado we are constantly trying to recruit and train volunteers to match up with the kids.
We have great programs to help the kids such as our WINGS program that teaches and allows them to fly a plane. We had Christmas in four facilities for about 220 kids. We are constantly trying to find ways to raise funds to not only keep the ministry healthy but continue to grow it. This year we are having a city-wide event called Over the Edge.
