There is a saying “you are never to old to learn”.
Learning is truly a life long process. Learning is really an important part of our lives. From birth we learn survival skills, how to communicate, and relational skills. What we do not realize is that learning goes deeper than just gaining a skill. Learning gives us a sense of worth, accomplishment, and broader view of life. We have five young men in our WINGS program learning how to fly a plane. They just finished their sixth week and have one more classroom lesson before they get behind the controls of a plane and fly above Colorado Springs. They may never go on to get their pilots license, or use the skills they have learned about flying, but they will have a much better sense of worth, accomplishment, and a better view of life. One of the things they learn is Isaiah 40:30-31: "Youth may faint and grow weary And young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the Lord Will renew their strength; They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary; They will walk and not grow faint." Flying a plane is one experience they will never forget but learning to trust in the Lord is something that will change their lives for eternity. Please pray for these young men that through this learning experience they will better understand how to trust the Lord. Thank you!
