February is in the rear-view mirror and March is here. March is my least favorite month. It comes on the heels of the shortest month and it is one of the longest. There are no holidays in March. It is not really Winter and not yet Spring, especially here in Colorado. Lord help me deal with this.
We are still waiting to get back into facilities. The facility staff are getting their vaccinations and I am hoping this is the key to us getting the doors open again. Othella, the new office manager, is working out well and is a real blessing. I am excited to see how the Lord uses her to strengthen his ministry. Now that things are once again settled down, I am hearing the Lord telling me this is a great time to Listen, “Be still and know that I am God” Ps 46:10. I can tend to be anxious about the future. I need to continue to find ways to get support and volunteers. I want to find answers to all our needs NOW. I want to put a plan in place and move forward. Instead, I need to take the time to sit at the Lord’s feet and be spiritually nourished. I need to listen to how much he loves me and wants to walk through life with me. I often just want answers to the questions I have and do not listen for the Lord’s words of encouragement to live my life to the fullest. This takes time, not just 10-15 minutes here or there. I am sure many of you are in the same boat with me. You may be tired and worn down by life and you just want answers on how to make things better. What do I need to do tomorrow, next week or next month to make things better? The answer I believe the Lord is saying, just sit at my feet and be my son or daughter. Let us take time to be a Mary, Lk 10:41, this month. Let’s not ask as many questions but instead listen. Let us allow ourselves to be Loved by the Lord. Let his voice resonate in our souls. Let his words of truth remove the lies of the world. Let’s not run ahead of the Lord or trail behind him but walk hand and hand with him into April ready to be used to make a difference in the lives of others. I am going to Love March!! Blessings, Andrew LaValley
