Balanced & Effective
We desire for our programming to be effective in the lives of the youth we meet with. We believe balanced programming provides us that ability. Balanced programming is about arranging consistent and frequent connections that focus on the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional aspects of our youth.
This balanced view to ministry shows our youth the faithful care and love of Christ. This love and care is something most have never before experienced in their young lives. Our desire is to see Christ's love and redeeming work active in their hearts as this is what will bring lasting life change.

OUR VOLUNTEER & COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Coach/MentorsCoach/Mentors start one-on-one ministry with youth inside facilities & have the opportunity to continue that relationship on the outside.
Community InvolvmentLocal organizations provide spiritual input, life skills and job training to provide new experiences & community connection for our youth out of facility.
Concerts/Musical GroupsEvery year we have groups from all over Colorado
and Texas who minister to our youth through song inside of our facilities. |
Group Bible StudiesGroup Bible Study leaders can lead studies at specific facilities and at specific times. All groups and times are dictated by the facility and SOCO YFC.
After CareAfter Care provides youth with services like: ongoing coach/mentors, community, a local church, jobs, and physical needs when they transition out of a facility.
|
Scheduled ActivitiesScheduled activities can be anything from speakers, to sports activities and concerts. Times are based on facility availability and scheduled by SOCO YFC.
SpeakersWe have individuals who come speak to and inspire our youth inside of the facilities that we minister in.

BACKPACKS FOR KIDS
Our Backpacks For Kids "after care" Program helps provide practical items to youth who have been released from a facility and are re-entering our community. Many of these youth are on their own for the very first time in their lives and without family members to help them. They own very little or nothing of their own. We provide them with the basics to help them get back on their feet. Click Here For List Of Needed Contents.

Facility Christmas
Our Facility Christmas Program provides for the spiritual and practical needs of the approximate 270 youth who are inside facilities during the end of each year. In December we go into each of the
facilities we serve in and give the kids Bibles, board games, clothing, sports equipment, water bottles, art items, puzzles, food, and entertainment for Christmas. During this time of year it provides the kids with hope that someone cares. It also gives us the ability to share Christ with them and the adults who work at the facilities. (*This program also includes all items for a local group home that takes their 20 youth on a trip to California every December.) |
BIBLES FOR A YEAR
We give hundreds of Bibles every year to troubled youth inside and outside
of youth serving facilities in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City. You can help us continue to provide God's Word to youth who need the hope of Christ in their daily lives! |
